Interview of obsession.

A recent interview on obsession involving one of my obsessions, Javier Marías.  The other interviewees were something of a chore to get through.  Follow the link HERE

  2. Let me know what you think, Rise. I found some of it to be quite interesting, but the thoughts on literature from the other two guests left me cold at times.

  3. I just finished listening and you're right. Javier trumped the other two who seemed to spout strings of sound bites.

  4. I found the idea of a novel wherein the reader picks the ending to be blood-chilling. Instead of the idea of the novel as a way to explore the human condition, they seemed to think of it as a choose-your-own-adventure story for grownups. And if I heard that guy utter "the people in Silicon Valley would say" one more time, I was going to test the sturdiness of my desk with the force of my head banging against it.

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on my review of The Infatuations. It's nice to find a fellow Marías fan.

I've just downloaded this interview and am looking forward to listening later. Thanks for sharing!

    Best wishes,
    Andrew
